SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Summary You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH OFFICE of NAS JRB NEW ORLEANSDutieso You will serve as a safety consultant, advising management and workers on safety requirements and potential accident causing situations and preventing accidents.
o You will schedule and perform periodic surveys and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of safety requirements and practices in the work environment.
o You will investigate mishaps and obtain statements from witnesses, photograph mishap scenes, and records circumstances or mishap and extent of injuries.
o You will review plans and specifications for new constructions, building alterations, and/or changes in installation equipment to ensure compliance with safety codes and standardsRequirements Conditions of Employmento Must be a US Citizen.
o Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
o Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
